Project Rhapsody for Tiffany & Co.

A new setting for creation. A new environment for discovery.

A proposed partnership with

A blue eye and glittered face layered with bright stars and a cosmic landscape.

02 / Thesis

Give a Tiffany creation a new chapter above Earth.

A jewel carries the story of its design, its making and the moments it marks. An orbital project could add another chapter: a creation prepared for flight, filmed in a new setting and presented through a documented mission story.

Project Rhapsody brings that creative brief to Symphony Space's proposed mission platforms.

03 / Tiffany relevance

Begin with Tiffany's language of craft and discovery.

Tiffany's history connects exceptional gemstones with design and technical invention. Its Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop brings designers, engineers and craftspeople together.

We propose extending that conversation into a new environment. Tiffany would choose the creation, the creative question and the standards by which the result should be judged.

04 / Why begin now

Define the image before choosing the flight.

The creative ambition should shape the technical brief: what Tiffany wants to show, how the object must be protected and what the camera needs to see.

Beginning with those questions gives the teams time to assess lighting, handling and platform fit before a mission is selected. The first decision is the work we want to make.

05 / Integrated offer

Bring the workshop and the mission team together.

Tiffany defines the creative brief and the standards for presenting its work. Rhapsody develops the concept and filming plan. Symphony assesses flight requirements and plans integration and operations.

Together, the teams agree the deliverables, approvals and measures of success. Project Rhapsody is a Symphony Space program.

06 / Symphony Platform

Use the platform. Do not build the spacecraft.

Symphony is developing platforms that share power, thermal services and other spacecraft infrastructure across customer payloads. Adagio-Mini is designed to remain in orbit while robots exchange its payload modules.

The aim is to support successive Maison projects without building a new spacecraft for each one. Capabilities will depend on the selected platform and its stage of development.

07 / Value framework

Create a film, a record and a reason to engage.

  1. Creative work: an original film and stills built around an approved mission.

  2. Object history: documented handling, flight and mission context.

  3. Client experience: a proposed presentation connecting craft with exploration.

  4. Product learning: an optional, separately defined materials study.

Select the outcomes that matter to Tiffany and agree how they will be measured.

08 / Creative option one

See a familiar form in a new light.

Select a Tiffany creation for an orbital filming concept centered on light, surface and form. The creative treatment would be developed alongside the mounting, protection and camera requirements.

Workshop footage on Earth would establish the craft behind the object. Orbital imagery, if qualified and captured, would carry the story into its next setting.

Designers point at a blue and diamond spacecraft sketch alongside jewelry setting drawings.

09 / Creative option two

Let the journey become part of the presentation.

Build a client experience around the making and flight of a selected piece. The proposed presentation could pair mission imagery with design drawings and an Earth-made exhibition counterpart.

The record would identify what was made, what flew and how it was handled. A flown object's return would be a separate mission requirement.

Next / 10

10 / Creative option three

Invite the workshop to ask a new materials question.

Tiffany's design and technical teams could nominate a material behavior or fabrication step for an initial feasibility study.

Any orbital experiment would need a defined purpose, matched Earth controls and an approved protocol. Creating or finishing jewelry in orbit would require a separate technical development scope before it could be offered as a deliverable.

11 / Proposed lead pilot

Tiffany in a New Light

One selected creation. A film following its making, preparation and proposed orbital appearance. A client presentation on Earth that brings the story together.

The proposed pilot would combine an object qualified through technical review, an approved capture plan, edited film and stills, and a documented mission record. Final scope would follow Tiffany's approval and technical feasibility review.

12 / Delivery process

Build the creative work and the flight plan together.

  1. Brief: choose the creation, audience and intended experience.

  2. Qualify: assess object protection, imaging and platform fit.

  3. Integrate: engineer, test and approve the payload.

  4. Fly: execute the approved mission and capture plan.

  5. Deliver: provide the agreed films, stills and mission records.

Tiffany retains creative approval under the agreed process. Symphony retains authority over flight safety and mission operations.

13 / Rights and Confidentiality

Protect the work before it leaves Earth.

Agree ownership and usage rights for footage, creative masters, background IP, research data and new inventions before integration begins. Define confidentiality, publication review and access controls for each project.

Symphony's proposed program framework includes segregated client data. Any security architecture, category exclusivity or reserved capacity must be specified and approved in the agreement.

14 / Measurement

Define the return before launch.

Agree project-specific measures rather than assume a financial return.

Creative: approved assets, qualified reach, engagement and cost per usable deliverable.

Commercial: client appointments, attributable inquiries and, where feasible, incremental contribution measured against comparison periods or cohorts.

Research: protocol completion, data quality, differences from ground controls and the next development decision.

Provenance: mission records and chain of custody; a price premium only when supported by an actual transaction.
